Child Protection

At Scoil Mhuire, the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We aim to create a secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child can learn, develop, and thrive. In accordance with the Children First Act 2015 and the Child Protection Procedures for Schools, our school has clear policies and reporting procedures in place for any child welfare concerns. All school staff are trained to recognise and respond to any child protection or welfare concerns, working closely in partnership with parents, guardians, and relevant authorities such as Tusla and the Gardaí where necessary.

Our school’s Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment are reviewed annually and are available to view here.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding child safety, please contact our designated Principal / Designated Liaison Person (DLP), Mr Coleman.
